What is the purpose of the Café and Playscape?

To offer uncommon hospitality to the city. Our prayer is that the Pointe Café and Play Park will further our mission of knowing Jesus and making Him known.

What are our hours of operation?

We are open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Is the café and playscape open for special events, like birthdays and other private events?

We plan to be open for birthday parties sometime in 2025. Stay tuned!

Is there any cost for the café or playscape?

Like all our other ministries, it is a gift. It’s a gift of kindness, and kindness is in short supply. Our hope is that this is one way we can show the hospitality and generosity of Christ.

How can I donate to the café?

Our heart is for the café ministry to be a gift to you and our community. While we are not accepting donations in the café, you are welcome to donate to the Oak Pointe Church general fund, which supports all ministries of the church.

If you are interested, please go to our Join a Team page and select First Impressions > Hospitality (Café & Playscape). You’ll be prompted to complete a form, and we’ll reach out with next steps.

How will the playscape be cleaned?

The playscape, as well as the café, will be cleaned nightly by a professional cleaning service. We will also have an air filtration system that helps mitigate the spread of germs in Play Park.

Is there supervision of children in the playscape?

Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising their children.

What is the maximum age of children in the playscape?

The playscape is reserved for children in 5th grade and below. Adults are permitted in the Play Park to supervise children.

Can food or drinks be brought into the playscape?

No food or drink is allowed in the playscape for the safety of the children.

What happens if someone gets sick in the playscape?

Please let our staff or volunteers know, and our facilities team will be available to clean. We will need to close the playscape for a period of time to sanitize.

How will emergencies be handled?

In the case of an emergency, never hesitate to call 911. After calling, please reach out to staff or volunteers for further assistance. Our staff is trained to handle emergencies this way as well.

When do the café and Play Park close?

The café and Play Park close at 4:00 pm. Our staff will let you know once we’ve closed for the day. We will finish serving drinks at 4:00 pm.

Does the entire building close at 4:00 pm?

However, we ask that if you are visiting for the café or playscape, that you exit at 4:00 pm.
